Talia's story...

Drawing and painting since she could hold a pen, art has always been an integral part of Talia’s life. She has always held a deep love for creating and artistic expression, and dreamt of pioneering a career in art. From local commissions as a child, to selling direct to collectors, her artwork has resonated with the community. Raised on the coast of Victoria, Australia, the beauty of her home continues to inspire her.

Talia’s painting practice is often inspired by nature and entwines this with more abstract elements to describe the ineffable human experience; “I love to paint portraits and figures, reflecting our authentic or maybe more hopeful selves” aiming to “describe and interpret different aspects of life and the things I find beautiful in it, which is a lot”. Talia feels that "art is an innate part of life, appearing in countless forms. But art is also simple, it's people's hearts conversing."

Using a combination of modern mixed media and traditional oil techniques, she expresses herself in her process. Exploring ways to render layered and vibrant imagery, sometimes erring on the surreal, often with representational elements also. Painting out of her home studio, Talia loses herself in the process of creating and endeavors to share her passion with an ever-growing audience. Hoping to connect with people and continue finding ways to put her feelings in paint.
